Cree Indian Prophecy

Only after the last tree has been cut down,
Only after the last river has been poisoned,
Only after the last fish has been caught,
Only then,
will you find that money cannot be eaten!

Today's find

Busy world
or people busy
Flip a channel
report of a raid
next click
an 'ad' for a ware
A musical show
duet or solo song
some crying
another prying
yet another
selling, trying, trying
a beggar's story
streat man's find and glory
"In the name of" yells one
we are all unique and someone
A child smiling
an old woman whining
Nitter, Nitter
Natter
Sit watching all
Know I'm getting fatter
My world
Your world
real world
or be it media world
Everyone except I
are so very busy
what is the run for?
A sprint and a race!
At the crack of morrow's day
sit here and feel
what lonely grandma
probably felt

Ageing

Experiencing humiliation at the hands of my fellow beings

Sunday, January 30, 2011

I found this today

Ask yourself   "Who am I"?

"Who is this being that dwells within this body?"

Ask yourself these questions slowly and think.

We do not need the knowldge and culture of a distinguished mind to understand and appreciate the teachings.  The simple and untutored and the primitive can as readily enter by an act of faith.

The great elemental secrets of life are so simple that few see them.  People are complicated, intellects are complicated, not life.

Paul Brunton asked "What is the way to God-realization?" and Maharshi said: "Vichara, asking yourself the 'Who am I?' Enquire into the nature of your Self."

(Not written by me.  These words helped me so I am sharing what I found in my treasures of paper I have saved for years.
